ENGAGEMENT, SOLIDARITY AND PERFORMANCE / The pandemic-related crisis has had a major impact on our clients’ business. Watch our videos and find out more about the support they received to keep their businesses running and help them grow during this challenging period.

Today we hear from ELISE atlantique, a company that specializes in office waste recovery and employs staff with disabilities as well as those who have encountered difficulties entering the workplace. The company welcomes us to its waste recovery and sorting facility in Bordeaux. The company’s circular economy-based business and inclusive approach to work offer an innovative response to today’s economic, environmental and social challenges.

ELISE atlantique is supported by Mirova, an investment manager dedicated to sustainable investment and an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers. Mirova invests in companies that make a positive environmental and social impact, on behalf of its clients, and funds particularly include Insertion Emplois Dynamique, which achieved the French government Relance accreditation in October 2020.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • Four billion plastic cups are used in France each year. Office staff each use three disposable cups per day, equating to 32,000 tons of waste per year. 60% of these cups go to landfill, 39% are burnt and only 1% of used disposable cups are recycled.
  • In services companies, paper and cardboard make up the main waste, and account for 80% of office trash can content. Less than half of paper sheets are currently recycled in France.
