he Super Use Case, organized as part of our X-HEC Data Chair on Business Analytics for Future Banking, took place remotely on May 27. Around fifty students in different countries worked in small groups for a week on a case provided by Natixis’ Human Resources department. They then presented their recommendations and innovative solutions to two juries, made up of renowned professors and teams from Natixis, who selected two winning innovative projects.

“This super use case was an opportunity for students to demonstrate the value of data visualization techniques in supporting our decision-making and managing the transformation of businesses. In the space of just a week, they presented excellent results, which our HR teams will be able to further study to draw all the benefits” stated Luc Barnaud, Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Natixis and sponsor for this challenge.

This challenge is part of the international teaching and research chair Business Analytics for Future Banking set up by Natixis, École Polytechnique and HEC Paris in December 2018. The chair aims to support the development of data culture and usage, which are key drivers in rethinking banking and its businesses. Digitalization and data are crucial for our businesses in today’s world and require both technological and business insight.

“This ambitious and innovative partnership also embodies Natixis’ determination to be involved with young talents, who are key participants in technological and digital transformation” notes Anne Lebel, Chief Human Resources and Corporate Culture Officer at Natixis. “It provides an opportunity for students from both schools to look into real business cases and discuss with Natixis’ experts.”
