The 15-30 age group is particularly impacted by the pandemic, as they are having to draw intensely on their resources at a time when they need to build their identity, enjoy their freedom, and develop their social connections. Some are also struggling financially. This is the observation Rose Olive de Cherisey, consultant psychologist at Stimulus Conseil, gave us in an interview, whilst explaining that the pandemic has also made consulting a therapist a more everyday occurrence.

Some insurance policies include psychological assistance to support clients in this area. It is the case of most of home and health Natixis Assurances’ insurance policies distributed by Caisses d’Epargne and Banques Populaires. “Our goal is to support young people both financially and psychologically during this challenging time”, Julie Berbesson, Head of Products and Marketing at Natixis Assurances, explains. “In addition to the mental health support, Natixis Assurances has exempted young policyholders from their health and home insurance contributions over a few months.”, she adds.
