Taking a responsible approach means both duty and accountability, and these must apply across all dimensions of our role. Our goal is to be a responsible insurer, a responsible company and a responsible employer.

 

A RESPONSIBLE INSURER

Our responsibility is to meet our duty of advice and care for our clients, as we also take on board environmental and social challenges. 

Our home insurance policies cover ecological installations at no extra cost, while our vehicle insurance policies offer preferential rates for electric vehicles with a view to promoting responsible behavior. We also strive to foster a more sustainable economy by including an increasing number of responsible units of account in our life insurance policies.

Natixis Assurances is fully aware of the importance of environmental challenges for the future and of the extent of our role as an institutional investor in supporting the transition to a lower carbon economy. We have been a signatory to the PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment) since 2016 and pledged to halt financing for coal-fired power stations and thermal coal mines. In 2017, we gradually excluded issuers that do not comply with ESG criteria, and withdrew from the tobacco sector across all our management mandates and dedicated funds. Since 2018, Natixis Assurances has made an ambitious and practical pledge to fight climate change and aligned the investment policy for our companies on a trajectory consistent with the goals set out in the Paris Agreement to keep temperature change at no more than 2°C compared to the pre-industrial era.

We identify the environmental and social impacts resulting from our operations with a view to better managing them, and curbing our resource and energy use, as well as our CO2 emissions.

We are convinced that work-life quality, seamless communication, independence, empowerment and collective intelligence drive sustainable economic performance. We have taken a number of initiatives in this respect with all our staff, for example our “solidarity day”.

In the event of minor motor vehicle damage, the expert visio app allows policy holders to directly and efficiently manage the valuation of their claim remotely from their smartphone. 

 

TEC#CARE 

In just a few clicks, policy holders can make claims 24/7 directly from their banking portal to simplify the process. They also have complete access to all useful services and information. 

 

Instant Payment 

We are the first insurer in France to offer Instant Payment to our clients. With our instant claims compensation service, our policy holders are credited immediately via their bank account. This solution was awarded the Argus d’Or in 2019.
