Climate Finance Day 2019 will bring together representatives from the financial industry, regulation and supervision authorities, and central banks. It will showcase the most innovative initiatives aimed at “financing a just transition”towards a low-carbon economy and society.

Faced with the pressing need to tackle environmental change, poverty and growing inequality, the financial sector has placed itself at the forefront of the ecological and social transition by diverting financial flows towards a sustainable economy.

Natixis will be participating in the 5^th Climate Finance Day. François RIAHI, CEO of Natixis, will take part in the panel discussing the theme “Climate finance: What is alignment?”. The Green Weighting Factor is a key example of alignment path in finance. It is an unprecedented mechanism that allocates capital to financing deals based on their climate impact. This internal and operational steering tool will help Natixis set its financings over time on a trajectory consistent with the objectives set out in the Paris Agreement on climate change.
