Natixis patron of the “Edvard Munch. A Poem of Life, Love and Death” exhibition from September 20th, 2022, to January 22nd, 2023, at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
This first major retrospective exhibition presents the full range of Edvard Munch’s (1863-1944) prolific, extensive and complex work beyond the world renowned painting “The Scream” that made his name.
The event will be an opportunity to explore the artist’s entire career and understand his vital contribution to symbolist art, expressionism and modern painting.
With more than a hundred pieces, this exhibition offers a remarkable view of the broad extent of Munch’s work across his 60-year career, with paintings, prints and engraved blocks, some of which are rarely displayed. It explores the artist’s unique artistic process and offers viewers greater insight into his art and how he composed his paintings with the recurrence of certain motifs.
Major patron of the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie, Natixis is proud to celebrate Edvard Munch’s work and give an unrivalled opportunity to vast audiences to learn more about this sometimes overlooked but highly talented artist and fully appreciate his work.
