The first challenge within the framework of the “Business Analytics for Future Banking” chair took place in January 2019. For two weeks, 29 students have worked full-time on two real business cases submitted by Natixis Payments and Natixis Investment Managers. The students presented their recommendations and innovative solutions to two juries consisting of professors and Natixis’ teams who selected the two winning projects.

This Challenge has led to fruitful exchanges regarding the development of data culture and usage within the banking sector. After two weeks of hard work, the students have showcased brilliant outcomes, truly an inspiration for our Natixis Payments and Natixis Investment Managers teams. We will further dig into the details of these studies to get the most of them“, said Luc Barnaud, CDTO of Natixis, as a conclusion of the first challenge.

This challenge fits in the framework of the “Business Analytics for Future Banking” chair, created in December 2018 between Natixis, École polytechnique and HEC Paris. This international teaching and research chair aims to contribute to the development of data culture and usage, which is one of the keys in redesigning the bank of tomorrow. Today, digitization and data are core elements for our business lines and require both technological and commercial expertise.

What’s more, this ambitious and innovative partnership reflects our willingness to interact with young talents, who are major players in technological and digital transformation. The chair gives students exposure to real examples and interaction opportunities with Natixis’ experts.
